Massage Instruction for Beginners

•Introduction to Massage, Part One (MAS001) – This class is a cerebral course focusing on the minimum requirements for people choosing to do massage without licensure. It covers how to learn about the legal requirements for professional massage in the State of Texas, when not to massage, what not to massage, sanitation, draping, where to find supplies, and questions from beginners. No prerequisites.

•Introduction to Massage, Part Two (MAS002) – This class is a hands on massage class and will involve student exchange and participation. If participants wish to pair with another class member for the duration (for example, husband and wife) it will not be necessary to massage another class member, though for purposes of demonstrating every class member may receive touch from or to the instructors. This massage technique is both structural and deep tissue by design, and focuses on the nerves and their free flow in the body. It is not to be mistaken for sensual or swedish massage. Prerequisite is MAS001 or licensure as a massage therapist.

•Massage for Multiple Sclerosis (MAS003) - This class is a more extreme version of MAS002 specifically designed for the use on people with Multiple Sclerosis. Prerequisites: MAS002.
